FIRST ONE GONE!

Lost first stone (again).

Oh heavens above, please let me be focused this time around.

Because I don't go to any slimming group, I psyche my self up on a weekly, sometimes daily basis. I used to come out of my WW meeting, fuelled up and raring to go.  So now, doing my own thing,  I watch all the 'fat/thin/diet' style tv programmes.

When I'm out and about, I love watching fatties filling up with all the wrong foods. Yes, I know there is no such thing as wrong food, but you know what I mean!

I've started going to ballroom dancing lessons.  I used to go in my teenage years and I still love it.  It's only once a week, but it's getting me out the house, away from the tv and up off my big backside!

I made myself a rule:  If it's a dry day - go for a walk.  I wouldn't dream of going if it is wet or even damp, but hey, we're in the spring season in the UK!

When I've re-started in previous years, I always kept my diet a deathly secret.  This time around, I've told just about everyone. When you have at least 5 stone to lose, it really doesn't show to those around you, until you've lost at least 2 stone.  You are aware of it yourself of course, because of your clothes and well being etc, but the work mate, the weekly colleague you meet up with, won't notice.  Each year I try again, it's with a different plan, different mind set, different set of ground rules etc.

Post Tip:  Try a little cinnamon in your cereal - it supposed to melt the fat away!

I'll report back soon
Good luck all
 :)

January 2014

I'm officially back making home-made veggie based soups with lentils and barley.

Actually enjoying not having my stomach feeling it's going to burst with the pain of filling it up to the brim.

Just read:  Cutting down on vegetables such as broccoli and cabbage can reduce bloating, gas and belching.  So what the heck can you fill up on!  Ok, all veggies except broccoli and cabbage!

What a life . . .

Snack a Jacks

What ever you do, don't buy Salt & Vinegar flavour.  They are so so so salty, you're going to be drinking forever.  Disgusting.

HAPPY MARCH

Weighed My Self Today

2 March 2013

Lost since February: 6 3/4 lbs

Confession

I was going to manage myself at home and see how it goes.  Then I saw an ad for WW to join (re-join in my case) and get a free Gregg Wallace cookery book.

I felt I couldn't resist a free WW cookery book and just had to have it. I've since found out you can download it and wanted to share it with you, it takes seconds to load.  Click here for free GW cookbook

BTW - I do love Patsy Kensit, check this vid out here!

I know I was going to weigh every 2 weeks, now I've got no choice and have to get weighed every week.  So I'll see how this goes too. I can't cope with the disappointing results, so I better keep them positive!

Patient Co.Uk

Low-fat Diet Sheet

I take Statins to reduce cholesterol levels and I'm aware that when you cut out all high fat foods it brings your cholesterol levels down.

A website has been brought to my attention and I'd like to share it with you.  It's common sense stuff really, but anything that helps - right?!  It starts off by saying:

"A diet that is generally low in fat and healthy can help you to lose weight, or maintain your weight. It can also help to you to lower your cholesterol level."

If you're interested, click on this link and tell me what you think!

First Weigh In

Oh The Stress!

"It should have been a Diet Coke!"

Cut To The Chase . . .

Lost: 3 1/4 lbs

If this was a 1st official weigh-in I'd be very disappointed, however, I started my diet on 1st December 2012.  I'm guessing I may have lost maybe 4 or 5 lbs in December.

I can feel from my clothes - that something is definitely happening!

I've been in such a state about getting weighed and wondering what the scales were going to say, I've changed my mind about 'not going to weigh myself every week'  as mentioned here.

So, the plan to date is, weigh-in the beginning of each month and the middle of each month, we'll see how it goes.

I've been having this love affair with half-fat crème fraîche, with anything really. I was brought up on desserts and feel that a meal isn't complete without one.  My favourite at the moment is baked apple or low fat yoghurt and of course crème fraîche.

What's your favourite dessert, that's not too fattening?
